Chandler Echelon
Chandler Echelon is a $200 million mixed-use office/hotel project located at the southwest corner of Price Road and the 202 Freeway, just south of Chandler Fashion Square. The development will be comprised of two hotels, a retail component, and two multi-story office buildings.
Lees Mayfield is partnering with White Lodging Services of Merrillville, IN, REI Real Estate Services of Carmel, IN, and Poe Companies of Louisville, KY to create Chandler Echelon on 20 acres of land in northwest Chandler.
The first phase of the project, which has completed construction in the first quarter of 2009, will consist of a four-story, Class A office building with 190,000 square feet of rentable area. A four-story adjacent parking garage will also serve the estimated 800 office workers and visitors to the building. A second office building of comparable size is planned after completion of Phase I.
For completion in the fall of 2009, Chandler Echelon will feature two Marriott hotels uniquely designed within one building structure. A 150-room Courtyard by Marriott will be housed in one wing of the building while a 110-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott will be housed in the other wing.
In addition to the office and hotel buildings, the developer has slated location within the project for banks, restaurants, and retail shops.

Project Area DescriptionThe site is bounded by Price Road on the east and the signalized intersection of Spectrum Blvd. on the south. The private entry onto Price Road at a signalized intersection affords protected ingress and egress for the site from all directions. Access to Loop 101 and 202 freeways will be from Price Road exit/entry ramps immediately north of the project site. Project Site DescriptionThe total Phase I office building site contains approximately 7.5 acres. The land pad for the building is flat, affording good visibility of the building from all arterial streets. Design ConsiderationsPhase I is a four-story office building totaling approximately 190,000 rentable square feet. Automobile parking is provided in a four-level parking structure located immediately west of the building and a surface parking lot for tenant and customer parking at the building entry. |
Office Building ImprovementsThe project architect, Davis, created a building with strong modern corporate elements. Finish materials include desert toned color, polished and honed stone, and Rosewood accents. With large floor plates of 47,000 square feet, the building provides the corporate user with efficiency of design in a Class “A” environment. Office Building Interior FinishesThe building lobby, a two-story high space, is completed in a striking combination of stone, glass, leather, and concrete. Elevator lobbies on each floor are flanked by two separate restroom pods. All tenant spaces are designed to accommodate 9-foot ceilings and exterior window walls of high-performance, double-paned glass. |
